Guiding your church toward vision, unity, and God-sized impact
Why Capital Campaigns Matter
Accomplishing the mission God has put in front of your church requires resources. Whether it’s a building, an expansion, eliminating debt, or creating space for new growth, this responsibility weighs heavily on most pastors.
You don’t have to figure this out alone. A capital campaign, when guided well, isn’t just about raising money. It’s about building unity, strengthening faith, and aligning your church around a shared vision.
Our partners at Church Growth Services (CGS) bring decades of experience helping churches pursue bold, God-sized initiatives in a way that strengthens both the ministry and the congregation.
Converge works alongside CGS to provide guidance and confidence as you take steps of faith and watch God provide in ways you never imagined.

Frequently Asked Question
A preferred vendor simply means Converge MSC recommends a company we trust and believe you should consider. A partner, like CGS, means we are actively involved alongside them. When you engage with CGS, our Converge MSC team will also walk with you through the campaign process, engaging with your leaders, elders, and staff. Our motto is to relentlessly serve our pastors, planters, and churches. While we fully understand that the church is the people, not the building, we also recognize that facilities are critical tools for healthy growth, multiplying ministries, and reaching more people. By helping churches build, expand, or reduce debt, we are helping them remove barriers to growth and better fulfill their mission of making disciples.
Converge MSC does not charge anything for our involvement. CGS offers free initial consultations and then customizes a proposal for your project. Their services are tailored to each church, but a typical capital campaign costs between $15,000 and $45,000 depending on the scope. While it is an investment, a professionally executed campaign typically pays for itself many times over in increased giving, better leadership engagement, and successful project completion. Also, CGS has payment plans so that they are affordable and easy to build into your budget.
There are several excellent capital campaign companies serving churches. We believe CGS offers a unique combination of customization, experience, and deep partnership with Converge MSC, but we encourage churches to do their due diligence, compare options, and find the best fit. Choosing CGS means you also get the bonus of having Converge MSC staff involved to strengthen your campaign and help your leaders throughout the journey.
There’s no catch. We genuinely want your church to succeed in this area. Of course, as your church grows in generosity and resources, we hope you'll also continue to invest in missions and ministry opportunities through Converge MSC. But at the core, our goal is simply to help you be as healthy and effective as possible. We believe that when churches thrive, the Kingdom advances and that's a win for everyone.
You can but the truth is, the most expensive thing a church can do is miss the opportunity to raise significant resources the right way. Capital campaigns are not just about asking for money; they are about building ownership, deepening vision, and laying a foundation for long-term impact. A professionally guided campaign like CGS offers proven strategies, coaching, and momentum that most churches simply can’t replicate on their own. When done right, a campaign strengthens the entire ministry for years to come, not just the finances.
The active phase of a capital campaign — including preparation, leader training, the public launch, and immediate follow-up — typically takes about four to six months. However, one of the things that sets CGS apart is their long-term commitment to your success. After the campaign launches, CGS continues to walk with your church through the entire pledge fulfillment period, which often lasts two to three years. Many companies focus only on helping you secure pledges; CGS stays engaged to help you actually collect them, celebrate milestones, and finish strong.
You should start exploring a capital campaign when you sense a significant ministry opportunity is being limited by space, facilities, or debt. Even if your project is 6–12 months away, early preparation with CGS and Converge MSC can help you build momentum, align leaders, and cast vision well before you ask for commitments.
While CGS will coach and guide your team, and Converge MSC will support you, the campaign is ultimately led by your own leaders — your pastor as chief vision caster, a campaign director (staff or key volunteer), and a core campaign team. CGS will help you recruit, organize, and equip your team to lead with confidence and clarity.
